Zebulon redesign
In reimagining Zebulon, a dynamic bar and venue in LA with roots in NYC, my design strategy centered on the use of polygons to embody inclusivity, echoing the venue's welcoming ethos for individuals of all shapes and sizes. This choice of polygons as a visual metaphor was deliberate, aiming to mirror Zebulon's eclectic essence—a haven for music, movies, and art. My involvement in the redesign was comprehensive, involving a deep dive into the venue's culture and community to ensure the new design resonated with its diverse audience. By integrating these geometric forms across various elements of Zebulon's branding and physical space, I sought to create a cohesive and visually stimulating experience that reinforces the venue's identity as a multifaceted gathering place. This approach was not just about aesthetics but a thoughtful reflection on how space can be shaped to foster a sense of belonging and celebration of diversity.
At Zebulon, there's truly something for everyone, a testament to its vibrant and eclectic programming. This unique venue hosts an impressive range of events, from live concerts featuring emerging and established musicians to film screenings that span genres and eras. But the diversity doesn't stop there; Zebulon is also a stage for stand-up comedy nights, offering laughs in a cozy, inclusive environment, and poetry readings, where words flow in rhythm with the venue's creative pulse.
